The Family Preservation program offers an specific level of casework and a broad spectrum of support services to families in crisis of up to six months duration or 9 months where needed.
The service works closely with the Department of Communities and Justice caseworkers and is targeted at children who are at risk of removal from their families, but where an assessment is made that there is a reasonable prospect of improvement within the family with the right support. It is designed to work with families in crisis, whose children are at risk of removal and placement in Out Of Home Care.
