Stakeholder Communication

This communication aims to provide stakeholders a clear view of the changes and commitment to excellence in customer service.
Macarthur Family & Youth Services (MFYS) receives funding from Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) under its Targeted Early Intervention (TEI) Agreements which contain separate contracts for Mainstream and Aboriginal Services.

Through the TEI reform MFYS is transitioning a portion of funding from Mainstream to the Aboriginal program. This reallocation of funding and transition of service provision is required in order to support DCJ’s objective of additional service provision and support for Aboriginal populations across Campbelltown and Camden local government areas.

MFYS has undertaken this transition and adjusted service provision to the Aboriginal program effective 1 January 2021. The reallocation of funding will be specifically addressing wait lists for Aboriginal clients by increasing the number of Aboriginal caseworkers.

MFYS is moving towards a specialised agency delivering casework and groups to at risk children, youth and families with vulnerabilities. Further to the changes mentioned we will no longer provide playgroups and services to Wollondilly local government area.

We understand these changes may create some uncertainty around referral options, and we encourage you to utilise HSNet https://www.hsnet.nsw.gov.au/ , which is an info exchange service directory operated by DCJ.

Additionally please contact MFYS with any questions.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
Kind Regards
Veck Apostolovski
